A little bit about Jesus

Jesus of Nazareth was born 7-2BC in a stable in Bethlehem. It wasn’t until he was around 30 that he began preaching and teaching. He was baptised in the River Jordan by John the Baptist. Following his baptism Jesus was led into the desert by God where he then stayed for 40 days and nights and fasted. It was during this time that the devil appeared to Jesus and tried to tempt him to demonstrate his supernatural powers as proof of his divinity. He was tempted a total of three times and each time refusing the devil. Over the course of his preaching life it is believed that Jesus performed many miracles and at times gave teachings to many thousands of people. After these years of teaching, Jesus was then arrested by Roman soldiers on orders of the Sanhedrin, after betrayal by one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot. Jesus was then later crucified and 3 days later rose from the dead before finally ascending to heaven.
